Great covid-19 defence in place. Staff lovely with good attitude to patrons and each other. Plenty of customer service and interaction. Limited menu but well presented fresh food. Shame there is no tomato juice! LOL. Starters came out quickly and mains not long after table clearance. Fish was cooked to perfection with light crisp batter. Mushrooms had just the right amount of cream and garlic.

Really lovely meal to celebrate my mum’s 70th on Boxing Day. We chose here having been before and due to the menu not being Christmas based. Great selection of meals and excellent value for the three courses for 23. We were very well looked after throughout, the staff were fantastic and so attentive. Nothing too much bother and even created a kids burger which wasn’t in the menu. There were plenty of other diners and we were sat in a little conservatory type area which was perfect for the three under 4s that were with us. Thank you to all that helped make my mums birthday special. We will most definitely return. Happy New Year to you all. Apologies I was so preoccupied I only took a pic of the cheese bon bons which were lovely.

We booked here for New Years Day as a treat with family. I had booked for afternoon tea and when we arrived we were told they were only serving a set menu. We explained the situation and the gentleman serving us spoke to the chef and they agreed to make the festive afternoon tea for us. We waited a little while as everything was made fresh and when it was arrived it was all beautiful! Fresh sandwiches with plenty of filling, warm scones straight from the oven and a selection of yummy cakes. The staff were all attentive without being intrusive and nothing was too much trouble. What a was to great start 2025! A lovely experience from start to finish. We live in the village and we definitely be back. Thanks to the chef and all of the team at the walled garden.

Dined last night during an overnight stay with my husband for a special birthday celebration. After the initial confusion re dinner bed and breakfast menu choice, we ordered two courses, steak/prime burger. Absolutely delicious food, prepped and served beautifully. So fine that we have re booked specifically for the dining experience. This morning we enjoyed a lovely breakfast too! All staff were very friendly and welcoming. Such a refreshing change to encounter staff that seemed to really be enjoying their job. Thank you all, we look forwards to returning soon x

Have been here twice for afternoon tea. The first one (in December) was lovely, but unfortunately spoilt by finding out on the day we couldn't stay longer than an hour due to needing to prepare the restaurant for their Christmas parties. This was not explained to us when we booked. To be fair to them after we complained they got in touch straight away and offered us a complimentary afternoon tea. Our second visit was even better. A lovely selection of cakes and sandwiches, plenty of tea in a lovely setting. We will definitely go back.

Had an afternoon tea for a 60th celebration at The Walled Garden. One of the best I've had yet. Staff were so lovely, welcoming and accommodating. They'd set out the ' conservatory' area, overlooking the garden which was so thoughtful. The food was freshly made as we arrived and it was delicious, right from the soup, croquettes, sandwiches, freshly baked (still warm) scones and cakes. Plus, as a bonus, the chef sent out a complimentary, celebration brownie for the birthday girl !!! A very special touch. Had a walk in the lovely grounds too. A very relaxing, calm and clean place. Thank you all at The Walled Garden! We're planning our next celebration to have there!!!
